Margaret “Peggy” S. Hasenei, age 92i of Seaford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2017.  Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late J. Marshall and Margaret Stewart.  Her husband, Duane, preceded her in death in 1999.

Peggy retired as an insurance underwriter in Towson, MD and moved to the Manor House in Seaford, DE in 2000.  She’s been an active church member her entire life and was known as an encourager and prayer warrior.

She is survived by her daughter Carol O’Day and husband, Jim of Seaford and 3 grandchildren, Christine Thomas (Mark), Janice Griffith (Jonathan) and Brian O’Day (Kelli).  She took great pride in them and her 10 great-grandchildren.  Peggy is also survived by 4 sisters (Kris Garrick, Jeanne Underwood, Joanne Hall, Hope Murphy) and a brother (Marshall Stewart, Jr.).

There will be a visitation at Cranston Funeral Home 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford on Monday, February 27 from 6:30 to 8pm and a Memorial Service at the Manor House 1001 Middleford Rd, Seaford, DE on Tuesday,  February 28, 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Manor House Benevolence Fund 1001 Middleford Rd, Seaford, DE 19973 or Atlanta Road Alliance Church, P O Box 756, Seaford, DE 19973.
