MARTHA JANE HORN

November 4, 1927 ~ February 8, 2017 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Martha "Jane" White Horn, 89, of Seaford passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2017 at Lifecare of Lofland. The oldest of three children, Jane was born in Linwood, Pennsylvania to the late Russell J and Sara M White on Nov 4, 1927. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and was in nurses training when she met and married Frank Gather Horn on Oct 19, 1946. Jane worked many years at Nanticoke Finance in Seaford. She also worked alongside Frank with the businesses they owned: Horn Electric, Horn's Mobile Village, and Electrical-Maintenance & Construction. Jane and Frank enjoyed traveling the United States in their "Winnebago" and the many trips and cruises they went on. She is survived by her two children Maryrose Horn Dubinski and her husband Don and Frank "Buddy" Horn Jr and his wife, Valerie. She is also survived by her brother and sister, Harry J White and Phyllis M Pini, both of Claymont. She found true enjoyment in her grandsons and granddaughter, Frank E Dubinski, Patrick D Dubinski (his wife, Melinda Obier Dubinski), Jacob A Dubinski (his fiancée, Chelsea Wharton) and Emily McPherson. She was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Leah Rose Dubinski, Paige Madelyn Dubinski, Owen Patrick Dubinski and Callum Jacob Dubinski. Jane had several nieces and nephews with a special niece being Jeanne Potter. She enjoyed the many visits from friends and family while she was home bound.  The family would also like to thank Norma McPherson and Bonnie Willing because without their help we could never have kept her home so long. "Team Horn"  She was a born leader and was involved in The Sussex Womens Democrat Club, Nanticoke Hospital Auxiliary, Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery and Pastoral Care Coordinator. She was especially proud of the "Medal of Merit" Award for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.
