Wilson "Pete" W Chaffinch

Wilson "Pete" W Chaffinch, age 81, of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025. Pete was born on September 6, 1943, in Seaford, DE, the son of the late Ernest and Mary Chaffinch.

Pete was a member of the Moose Lodge of Seaford, DE for over 50 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching it with his friends whenever possible.  After retirement, Pete always found a way to stay busy with various part time jobs.  Pete was a big car guy and loved to take rides in his 85' Corvette.

He is survived by his sister, Gladys Graham (Ken), brother, Howard Chaffinch, his stepdaughter, Vicki Dorey (Rob), his stepson, Kirk Hedstrom, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and his beloved Dog, Spot.

Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Bette Chaffinch, his parents, Ernest and Mary Chaffinch, brother, Jack Chaffinch, two sisters, Janice Tyre and Eleanor Chaffinch.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM with a public viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE.  Immediately following the funeral services the burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, DE.
