William F. Pearson passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 9, 2025, at the age of 82.
Known to many as “Bill,” he is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Linda Pearson; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wyatt Infante; stepdaughter, Sharon Cunningham; grandchildren Sean Colicchio, Mark and Justin Cunningham, Mandi and Kevin Heesh, Niki Daley, and Wyatt Infante II; and great-grandchildren Laurie Jo, Chloe, Teddy, and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Pearson; his brother, Bob Pearson; and his daughter, Laurie Wiggins.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, William served in Vietnam as a code talker, working to decipher and intercept enemy communications. Following his military service, he and Linda founded and operated their own insurance claims company.
Bill was well known within his family for his many cherished collections—coins, stamps, books, and, most memorably, the moments he carefully recorded and preserved throughout the years. Every holiday, birthday, and family gathering was documented with love and care. Above all else, he treasured his family.
He was the kind of grandfather who read young adult novels just to connect with his granddaughter, who saved every card his wife ever gave him, and who found joy in small traditions—like gifting oversized chocolate Easter bunnies while chuckling to himself, knowing they’d be met with groans. He loved Garfield, the beach, and the simple pleasure of being surrounded by loved ones.
On a more personal note, from a granddaughter to her grandfather: you nurtured my love of reading and history, took care of my mom and grandmother during their hardest times, and reminded me how special I was to you every time I saw you in these last few years. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed.
Details regarding a celebration of life or funeral service will be shared at a later date.
