William B. Murphy, age 87, of Seaford, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
Bill was the son of the late Everett “Pat” and Elizabeth Murphy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Murphy in 2004, daughter, Robin, three brothers, Johnson Murphy, Leonard Murphy and Bobby Murphy and 2 sisters, Virginia Short and Margaret Williamson.
He was a pipe fitter with Local 782 since 1957. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1728 in Seaford, he represented 4-H Club in Chicago in 1955, Was a member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury and Gethsemane Methodist Church in Reliance and was in the Delaware National Guard for 9 years.
He is survived by a son Mark (Kathy), four grandchildren, Nicole, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Christopher, nine great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, August 27th at 1PM at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 12 to 1. Burial will be in Unity Washington Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
