Virginia R Fiori

Virginia “Jenny” Rayne Fiori was born in Hebron, MD, in a former country church.

She was the oldest of two children born to Everett Sylvester and Mary Ellen Rayne.

She had a servant’s heart at a young age, farming and plowing the family fields.

Virginia was beautiful, vibrant and joyous! She was loved by all and she was a contestant in the Miss Hebron Beauty Pageant.

She met her steadfast love, Edward Fiori of 70 years, at the Sharptown Carnival Bingo Pavilion.

Virginia lived a selfless life of love in Jesus.  She was devoted to her family unconditionally, and she never met a stranger!  She was an avid bird watcher, lover of animals, and enjoyed gardening and canning.  Her favorite place was always at the beach!

Virginia is survived by her loving, devoted, husband and caregiver, Edward Fiori of 70 years; Her daughter Judy, former husband, Ben Burris of Seaford, DE; Her daughter Darla, husband, Bob Ellis, from Seaford, DE; Her daughter Sharon, former husband, Sean Gibson of League City, TX; Grandchildren, Benjamin, Christopher, Christa and Zack; Great-Grandchildren, Chloe, Maddy and Rob.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Barbara Rayne and Geraldine Cannon and many nieces, nephews and friends of the family.

She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Rayne.

Virginia’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd at Bethel Worship Center, 26648 Sussex Hwy., Seaford, DE.  Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Service at 12:00 p.m., and graveside service will follow.  Pastor Jay Revels will be officiating and Pastor Joe LeCates will be leading the song service, with the Bethel Worship Center band.  Arrangements are in the care of Cranston Funeral Home in Seaford, DE.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to further the ministry of Jesus in Missions at John 21 Ministries, 32852 Sussex Hwy., Laurel, DE 19956.
