Vada was a devoted educator who touched the lives of many students over the years. She retired from teaching in 1998 from the Beaver Falls School District.

Vada was blessed with a loving family. She married Harold Damaska on July 25, 1959. The couple lived in New Brighton, PA for a few years before moving to their home in Beaver Falls, PA. Vada and her husband, Harold, made College Hill their home with their two children for many years. Upon their retirement, Harold and Vada moved to Seaford, DE.

Vada is survived by her husband of 60 years Harold; her daughter Kimberlee Zellhart and son-in-law, Rich, and her son David Damaska and daughter-in-law, Carrie, her grandchildren Zachary Zellhart, Zane Zellhart, Brandon Damaska, and Zoe Zellhart and her sisters Carol Foster and Helen Martindale. She is preceded in death by her parents Rev. Ernest and Ruth McClain, her brother Donald McClain, and sisters Shirley Quay, Jean Krivoski, and Kay Rockwell.
