Toni Diane Wetter (Howell) passed away on June 7, 2024, in Seaford, DE, at the age of 77. She was born on August 13, 1946, in Takoma Park, MD, to her late parents Everette and Clara Howell. Toni is now also reunited, with her sister Beverly Hagberg and brother Roger Howell, in eternal rest.
Toni was a dedicated Registered Nurse, having worked for many years at Tidal Health Hospital in Salisbury, MD. She touched the lives of many through her compassionate care and commitment. She was a 1964 graduate of Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, MD, and completed her nursing training in Frederick, MD. Toni's faith was an integral part of her life, and she worshipped at Blades United Methodist Church in Seaford, DE. She was a long-time volunteer with the Prison Ministry of Sussex County.
Outside of her career and faith, Toni had a variety of interests. She especially enjoyed fishing with her husband on the NC coast in their younger years. Her love for animals led her to care for any stray in need.
Toni is survived by her brother Steve Howell, and his wife Robyn, Winston Salem, NC, a sister in law, Sarah Lane Howell, Watsonville CA . In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, William P. Wetter passed away May 3, 2019. They were married 32 years.
A memorial service to celebrate Toni's life will be held Sunday, June 23 @ 11:00 am at Blades UMC, 306 S Market St, Seaford DE.
Toni will be interred with her husband at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, DE
Arrangements are being handled by Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley St Seaford, DE 19973.
