Thomas "Al" Allan Temple

Thomas Allan “Al” Temple Jr, age 93, died peacefully on May 12, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on February 21, 1933, to Thomas A Temple and Catherine Friedel Temple.

He was a graduate of Seaford High School and the University of Delaware. After graduation he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Upon his return he worked for the DuPont Company and after retiring he opened his own Land Surveying Company. Having been a professional engineer and land surveyor in Delaware since 1963, he is fondly remembered as our local surveyor.

Al is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma Lee Shockley Temple, his son, Brad and his wife Margie, his grandson Zachary and his wife Kristen and their children, Oliver, Finley and Greta, grandson, Noel and his wife Alexa, grandson, Patrick and his fiancé Izzy, and grandson Shawn.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM with a public visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE. Following services, burial will take place in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, 315 High Street, Seaford, DE 19973.
