Sandra "Sandy" Talley

Sandra (Sandy) Talley was born and raised in the Champaign, Illinois area, on her parents’ farm. From there she lived in various places including Germany, before settling down in Delaware. Sandy started her career in the early 1980's as a Rural Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service retiring after 28 years of service. A service she was very proud of, in a time when the profession was still largely dominated by men.

Sandy was an avid gardener; she loved and cared for her gardens with great passion. The thing she was most proud of was her church. It became a second family to her. Participating in many activities including Bible studies, the garden club and her favorite, the Valentine Social she liked making things pretty. She had a very special love for her 'sisters' of the church and the things they would do together.

Sandra Talley is survived by her 5 children: Philip White of Indiana, Melissa Eastman of Milford DE, Scott Eastman of Seaford DE, Jeanne Summerlin (Edward) of Deltona FL, and David Rager (Judy) of Frederica DE. Her 7 grandchildren Amy White Moore of IN, Ashley White Cary of IN, Mike Eastman (Veronica) of Felton, Joshua Eastman of South Bowers DE, Simon Brown of Newark DE, Cassi Brown of Webster NY, and Kyla Souza (Matt). Great grandchildren Genevieve, Graham, Ira, Bradley, Jacob, Brooklyn, Peyton, Ayla, Damien, and Rose. Sandy's siblings John Reinhart, Shirley Rampelburg, Bette Bieritz, and Pat Hardy

She is preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Leila Reinhart, sister Margaret Duffy, and Great granddaughter Ava Eastman.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a public visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Crossroads Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE, immediately following the service everyone is welcome back to the church hall for refreshment and fellowship.
