With the heaviest of hearts, we announce that our beloved Richard Lincoln Baughman passed away peacefully at home with his wife Kimberly D Baughman and family by his side on October 21, 2023. He had fought a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on October 15, 1964, in Lancaster, PA, the son of the late Richard O. Baughman and Grace Weit Baughman Stone.
In addition to raising his two daughters, Trista N Baughman and Shaylah B Baughman, and spending time enjoying life with his soulmate and wife of over 35 years, he worked several places, but the job that meant the most to him and that he spent over 30 years at was Allen’s Hatchery in Seaford. He was best known by his co-workers and beloved friends as “The Milkman.”
He also loved the Dallas Cowboys, 68’ Camaro , wrestling, the band “Kiss”, and being a pop-pop to his 3 grandchildren. He was one of the most loving, hardworking, thoughtful people you would ever meet.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kim, two daughters, Trista and Shaylah, 3 grandchildren, Grayson Stelzig, Brinley Hitchens, and Kinsley Hitchens, and a grandson on the way. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Moyer and her husband Kevin of PA, as well as many nieces, nephews and beloved extended family (Local and in PA).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Baughman, and a sister, Dorothy Baughman Sammons.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM with a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley St. Seaford, DE.
