ROSE MARIE J. PICCOLO

Rose Marie J. Piccolo, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

          Rose Marie was the daughter of the late Daniel V. Jordan and Frances Verderamo Jordan.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jordan Marsilii.

          Rose Marie retired from the Dupont Company in Wilmington after 35 years and was a life member of the Dupont Country Club.  She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wilmington since 1968, where she was a cantor, song leader and soloist for 50 years as well as a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality.

          Rose Marie will be best remembered for her magnificent voice.  She sang in many operas, weddings as well as funerals.

          She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Piccolo, her sister, Dorothy J. Cranston (John), 2 nephews, J. Alan Cranston Jr and George F. Cranston (Erin), her sister-in-law, Joann Carmody (Tim) of Virginia and her brother-in-law, Tito Piccolo also of Virginia.

          Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 26th at 11 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. Dupont St, Wilmington, DE, where friends may call from 10 to 11.  Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. Dupont St, Wilmington, DE 19805.
