ROBERTA ANN BOWDEN

Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Bowden, aged 81, of Seaford, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 9th at home surrounded by loved ones.

Bobbie was born January 2nd, 1937 in Salisbury, MD to the late Robert Brown and Vera Brown. She was the youngest of 3 children. She attended Bridgeville High School Class of 1955. One of her many jobs was working at the former Woolworth where she met her husband, and in her later years she was a merchandiser for American Greetings.

Roberta was a member of the Miriam Rebekah lodge for many years. She had a caring heart that touched many people. She will be dearly missed by many.

She is survived by her loving husband Louis of 61 years. A sister Dorothy Medico, a son Raymond Bowden and a daughter Christina Whaley (Kenny). She had 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Brown and her mother Vera Brown as well as a sister Mary Ellen Porter.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, October 15th at 1pm at Cranston Funeral Home, and burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.  Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St. Seaford, on Sunday from 6 to 8pm and Monday from 12 to 1.
