Robert (Bob or Bobby) Raynor (71) of Seaford, Delaware, passed away in the early morning hours of December 1st, 2022 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Bob was born on June 7, 1951 to Ernest Raynor and Clara Raynor in Middletown, PA. After living in Middletown for the first 6 years of his life, the family made the move to Miami, Florida in 1957.
Bob attended schools in Miami and was a proud South West High School eagle. He briefly followed in his father's and sister's footsteps while working for South Port Transportation Aviation and became the third in the family to work in the aviation field at the same time. One day when a door-to-door salesman knocked on the Raynor family door, Bob found his niche in life. Starting as a door-to-door salesman for Kirby Vacuum Cleaners, he worked his way up not only in the company but also to Delaware, and became a successful Factory Distributor for Kirby Vacuums for many years. During that time Bob and his sales team won numerous awards. He last worked at Harrington Raceway & Casino as a dealer and made many friends there.
Bob loved technology and electronics. Back when Radio Shack was the "in" place, many of his friend's and his children's friends jokingly called their home "Raynor Shack", because all of the latest electronics were found there. Through the years, Bob loved to go fishing with his buddies Donald, Eddie and JT. Bob was always up for going out to eat.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his 5 Children; Angela (George) Cain of Wellington, Florida, Randy Raynor of Sanford, Florida, Shane (Kathie) Raynor of Winter Gardens, Florida, Christina Renee' Raynor of Milford, Delaware and Robin Raynor of Dover, Delaware, 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way,and 2 Step-Children Mike Wilkerson and Rena' Wilkerson both of Seaford, Delaware. He is also survived by his sister Patti Raynor of Coral Gables, Florida, Uncles William Raynor of Smyrna, Delaware, George Raynor of Indian Lake Estates, Florida, Cousins Valerie Raynor, Billy Raynor and Pam Gray all of
Dover, Delaware, Cathy Poist of Angola, Delaware; mother of his children and close friend, and Nancy Raynor of Seaford, Delaware who took care of his wants and needs and remained a very close friend.
Final care has been entrusted to the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley Street Seaford, DE 19973. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, where friends may call from 1 pm to 2 pm for viewing and visitation. Casual, tasteful attire is acceptable.
