PRISCILLA L EFFINGER

\We are sad to announce the passing of Priscilla Beasley Weeks Effinger of Bridgeville, Delaware.  She died at age of 80 on April 9, 2023.  She was surrounded by her loved ones after a battle of sickness at Genesis Seaford Center in Seaford, Delaware.

Priscilla was born on June 19, 1942 in Henderson, North Carolina to Thelma and Roy Beasley.  She married Bill Weeks of Mississippi in 1960.  They raised three sons, Keith, Kent, Christopher and a daughter, Elizabeth.  Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents and two of her sons, Keith and Kent.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bill, and then Bob Robinson and Joe Effinger.

Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth and husband Rick, and her son, Christopher and wife Jeannie and a dear sister, Dianne and husband Larry, of North Carolina.  She had five grandkids; Matthew, Andrew, Sarah, Trinity, and Kye.  She has three great-grandkids; Syarah, E. J., and Symari as well as three special nieces and nephews, Amy, Wendy, and Tommy and their five daughters of North Carolina.

Priscilla was a wonderful Christian woman and such a caring and giving person.  She loved all of her family dearly and will be missed by many.  She was a foster parent for several children and along with her husband, Bill, were very involved in the Gideon Ministry.  She enjoyed the simple things of life. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, at Capital Baptist in Dover, 401 Kessling Ave, Dover,Delaware by Pastor Moore.  The viewing is at  10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m.                                                                                                                      Flowers or donations to the Gideon Ministry will be accepted.
