PAUL COFFIN, JR Obituary

Paul W. Coffin, Jr. made his journey to be with Our Lord on January 20, 2021 at the Tidal Health Nanticoke in Seaford after several years of a struggle with Parkinson's Disease and the Dark Cloud of Covid.

Paul was born 12-26-42 to Doris C. and Paul W. Coffin, Sr.  Doris was diseased when Paul was age 3 and Paul Sr. remarried later to Gladys Stevens who helped raise Paul Jr to adulthood.  Both Paul Sr. and Gladys are now deceased.

The Conner Family of Ocean City, Md. were always a big part of Paul's life.

Paul graduated from P.S. DuPont High School of 1961. For over 60 years Paul proudly was considered part of the "FAB-FIVE", a group of 5 classmates that have continued contact with one another.  Sometimes meeting for fun and always remembering the antics experienced by all.

In between High School and College, Paul had a brief experience in the Army and completed his duty in the National Guard.

Paul's career included many years as an Insurance Agent with Mutual of New York and followed by Nationwide Insurance accumulating many awards in sales.  After retirement, Paul chose to own and manage a United Check Cashing business and once again recognized for top achievement in the franchise.  During all of Paul's career, he developed friendships with employees who are saddened today with his loss.

A huge accomplishment for Paul was initiating the Walk to Emmaus in Kent County and Sussex County, resulting in a huge community of the Chesapeake Walk to Emmaus.

To balance Paul's career, he was very active in sports, always going the limit and being the best. Saltwater Fishing and Golf were considered enjoyable for years. He fished both for sport and competitively with the BASS Federation locally and on State Teams.  It was this experience that reminded him of "God's Great Outdoors."

Paul is survived by his wife Cheryl Twilley Coffin and sons Dwayne Paul Coffin and Wayne Wyatt Coffin all residing in Seaford, lovingly missed by many Sister-in-laws, Brother-in-laws as well as many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews and Cousins.  Plus, many valued friendships having fond memories of Paul.

Interment is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford followed by a Memorial Service led by Rev.
