Orville Lee Robinette Jr., 62, of Bridgeville, DE passed away suddenly the morning of Sunday, August 10th, 2025.
Orville, known to some as “Rob” and to others as “Butch”, was born September 22nd, 1962 in Pasadena, MD. Preceded in death by his Mother, Barbara Jean Hamm and Father, Orville Lee Robinette, Sr., His Grandparents, Aunt Lea, Aunt Carol and Uncle Bill.
Raised in Pasadena, Orville developed an early love of music, sports, cars, motorcycles camping and fishing. He would later use his winning personality, sharp wit, and cunning charm to have a successful career in auto sales and finance, using his love of cars to fuel his passions. A self-proclaimed “Jack of all trades”, Rob found joy in a variety of hobbies and pastimes, including playing and collecting guitars, calligraphy, drawing, wood working, construction, interior design, and amassing an impressive collection of GI Joes, antique toys and other pop culture ephemera.
Mr. Robinette is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kathie Robinette; children, Danielle Robinette (Daniel Taylor), Trevor Robinette, Dakota Robinette, William Farrell (Lydia Farrell) and Colleen Farrell (Julie Van Winkle); grandchild, Otis Farrell; sister Edith Robinette; brother Jamie Robinette (Saundra Robinette), Aunt Pinky McKenzie”Aunt Nanny” and a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins, and chosen family.
The Family will have a Private Celebration of Life on August 24th.
