Norma Lee Hastings, 80, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Tidal Health Nanticoke. She was born on February 1, 1943, in Sailsbury, MD. She was the daughter of Calvin Baker and Eleanor (Windsor) Baker.
Norma graduated from Wicomico High School in Salisbury, MD, in 1961. After graduation, she worked as a telephone operator.
Norma married Alfred Hastings. She and Al celebrated 58 years of marriage this past January.
Norma was an active member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Seaford, DE. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Norma was predeceased by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Al, her daughters, Dawn Tucker (Greg) of Bridgeville, DE, and Dana Garrett (Daniel), of Summerville, SC. She also leaves behind her three grandchildren: Jacob Tucker of Bridgeville, DE, Ashlyn Soule and Karlee Soule, both of Summerville, SC, her brother, Richard Baker (Lilly), brother-in-law Ron Hastings (Connie), and Ed Hastings (Jenny), nieces, a nephew, cousins, and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10:00am, at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, in the Prayer Garden. In lieu of flowers, donation in Norma’s name can be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 315 High Street, Seaford, DE 19973.
