Mickey G Hastings

Mickey G. Hastings, 64, of Seaford, DE passed peacefully at home on March 8, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.  He was the son of Robert (Shad) Hastings and Dorothy Wheatley.

Mickey went to school in Seaford, DE and joined the Army in 1983.  He was a veteran of Desert Storm.  Mickey enjoyed spending time at the beach and mountains and bike riding.

Mickey is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Jackie) Hastings, his mother Dorothy Wheatley, his 2 sons, Christopher Hastings and Derek Hastings, his grandsons Kayden Hastings and Kameron Hastings, granddaughter Leah Hastings, his sister Crystal Absher (Jamie), nephews Brad Absher (Stefanie), Brian Absher (Bri), Evan Absher (Mel), Adam Absher (Sarah), Brady Absher(Ciara), Logan Absher (Sarah), step-daughter Jamie Ralph,  step-sons Bo Hutchison and Rick Baker, as well as many aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.

Mickey is preceded in death by his father Shad Hastings, his paternal grandparents, Robert C. Hastings and Lena Hastings, and maternal grandparents, Roma Wyatt and Esther Wyatt.

Services will be held at Crossroads Church on April 11, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a public visitation from  10:00 to 11:00 am.
