Mark J Smith II, age 34, passed away on the evening of February 22, 2025. Mark was born and raised on old Furnace Road in Seaford and was a local Blue Jay Alum.
Mark worked primarily as an auto body mechanic, with a specialization in paint. There wasn’t a day that passed that he did not spend with his father, working hard and doing everything he could for his family. Beyond his love for cars, Mark will be remembered by the moments playing football, hanging with the boys, tubing on the boat, deer hunting, and riding four wheelers.
Mark had a heart of gold, which will live on through his two beautiful girls that were his entire world, Blakely and Jayley Smith. A momma’s boy through and through, he will be forever loved and missed.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Deanna Smith, his brother, Troy Smith (Hailey Smith), his sister, Kimberly Barron (Benjamin Barron), his two children, Blakely and Jayley Smith, and a large group of friends that were family.
Mark was one of a kind, this obituary is only a glimpse of the wonderful life Mark Jay lived, and the amazing memories shared with friends and family. If only the shop could talk………
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with a public viewing from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE. Burial will be private at a later day.
