Obituary

Levin Allen Williams III, “Bunny”, as he was lovingly called, passed away on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, in the early afternoon of Renal Failure.  Born Good Friday, at home, on April 15th, 1938, two days prior to Easter he acquired his nickname, Bunny.

He grew up on Atlanta Rd until his parents purchased Dr. Ellegood’s Farm in Concord. There he and his parents farmed the 200 acres and had “Levin A. Williams Jr. and Son,” fill dirt and septic. He served as a Sergeant in the Seaford National Guard for 6 years.  In 1985 he chose to go back to school and take up Real Estate and became a Realtor®.  He retired after 30 years working in Real Estate.  He enjoyed talking to people and helping them out. He was a member of the Sussex County Association of Realtors® and Delaware Association of Realtors®.  He loved fishing and hunting, but fishing was his first love.  He was a Member, Director, and Past President of Assateague Mobile Sportfishermen Association (AMSA), since 1968 and participated in many fishing competitions. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. He was on different committees for the Church and always made sure the snow was plowed off the parking lot for Sunday Service, if it snowed.  He would do whatever he could for the Church. He was God-loving and a family man.  He didn’t have a brother but William K. Dukes “Bill”, was as close as a brother could be.  They grew up together and were special friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jean, and his two daughters, Tammy Reagan and her husband Scott and Patty Esterson. Grandchildren; Jessica Kinsell & Kenny, Kristen Tune & Patrick, Katey Reagan, Matthew Esterson & Sharon, Great Grandchildren; PJ Tune, Cayden Tune, Lilli Tune, Dalton Kinsell, Chase Kinsell, Noble Harris and Nolan Harris.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Levin A. “Buddy” Williams Jr. and Alice M. Williams, an infant sister, Wendy and an infant brother, Charles and two great grandchildren Reagan and Quinn.

Special thanks to Dr. Curtis Smith, Tidal Health nurses, Accent Hospice Care and their nurses, in Wilmington, and to Concord United Methodist Church for prayers and cards.
