LARRY H TAYLOR, SR

Larry Henry Taylor Sr. of Seaford passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. He was born on April 4, 1950. He was son of Joseph Taylor Sr. and Ida Wheatly.

Larry enjoyed spending his days outside cutting grass or fishing. Fishing was his life whether it was out in a boat, along the shore, or at the beach. Surf fishing was his favorite and many weekends he could be found on the beach. He was a member of the Ocean City Surf Anglers and looked forward to their many events. He enjoyed helping the club with their annual surf-fishing tournament in Ocean City, Maryland and traveling to Hatteras a few times a year to fish with his fellow anglers.  He also enjoyed camping  and making memories with his family. He had two dogs, Rudy and Dexter, that he adored. They were best friends and kept him company. 

 He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Sue Taylor. He is also preceded in death by his father Joseph Taylor Sr. and brother Ronnie Taylor. 

He is survived by his sons Larry Taylor Jr (Teri) of Seaford and Matt Taylor (Hollie) of Seaford, daughter Katie Taylor (Stanley) of Seaford, grandchildren Matt Taylor, Courtney Taylor (Jordan), Riley Taylor, Kyleigh Cizon, Christopher Cizon, Addison McMullen, Larry Taylor III and Parker Taylor. He also has 6 great grandsons, Kolten, Derrickson, Jameson, Alan, Jordan, and Kyryn who he loved so much. He is also survived by his brother Cliff Taylor (Priscilla), sister Cathy, and his mother Ida Wheatly. He also has many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place at 2p.m. on Friday. April 8, 2022 at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St,  Seaford, DE. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Blades Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Cranston’s Funeral home in Seaford, Delaware to help offset funeral expenses.
