John L Caggiano

John L Caggiano, age 76, of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 28, 2023.  John was born on October 11, 1946 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Luigi and Gaetina Caggiano.

John retired from IBM where he worked as a Service Manager for 40 years at many different locations, including England.  John enjoyed gardening, sailing on sailboats, being spoiled by his Wife’s cooking, but most of all spending time with family. Of his many hobbies his favorite was collecting turtle figurines from all over the world.

John is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Catherine Caggiano, two daughters, Rachael Harris (Melissa) and Lisa Semeraro, one son, Louis Caggiano (Marisa), grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandra, Laura, and Julia, three sisters, Carmelina Sosa, Mary Caggiano, and Felicia Caggiano, his brother, Joseph Caggiano as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luigi and Gaetina Caggiano.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes in Seaford, DE.  There will be a public viewing on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Cranston Funeral Home, Seaford, DE.
