In loving memory, Jesse W. Eskridge, Sr, 53, who was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully Thursday, May 28, 2020.
Jesse attended Sussex Central School where he met his future wife, Dawn West, in 8th grade. After they both graduated in 1986, they became husband & wife on August 2, 1986 where their infectious love & affection for each other grew over 33 years until his death.
Jesse was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served during Desert Storm 1986 – 1990. He was always a devoted supporter of all veterans & held them close to his heart. During his years serving our country, Jesse and Dawn had two wonderful & strong sons; Jesse “Wade” Eskridge, Jr (fiancée Hannah Scott) and David “Garrett” Eskridge (fiancée Sara Stefanowitz). Jesse was a proud father & “poppy” to his eight grandchildren: Caleb, Kaelyn, Lilah, Ava, Brody, Nolan, Tucker, and Emma Jane. He spoke of his family often with much joy and happiness and “love”. Jesse was no stranger to anyone, always telling stories about the many adventures with his wife, their sons & grandchildren, as well as several friends he had met throughout his life.
Jesse was a member of the Seaford Elks, Seaford Moose Lodge, American Legion & the VFW. In his lifetime he loved to sing, play poker, shoot pool, he was fan of Baltimore O’s & Pittsburg Steelers and had a great love for golfing.
