HARRY SIMONICK Obituary

Harry Thomas Simonick, 77

Harry Thomas “Tom” Simonick, 77 of Buffalo, New York and recently Salisbury, Maryland, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, May 14th, 2020.

Tom was born in Buffalo, New York on April 2, 1943 to John and Stella Simonick (nee Kucharski). He graduated from Bishop Timon High School in 1961.

Tom was married to Sandra Simonick (nee Tagliaferro) on August 25, 1962; they were married 57 wonderful years.

Tom worked for General Motors in Tonawanda, NY for 42 years until his retirement in 2005. He was an avid Buffalo sports fan, watching both the Sabres and the Bills every game he could, even after he left the Buffalo area. Tom was well known for his sense of humor, always quick with a joke for everyone from family and friends, to waitresses and nurses. His goal was to make everyone laugh.

Tom is survived by his wife, Sandra, his daughters Constance (John Oot, Jr.) of Westfield, Indiana, JoAnn (Morley Daehn) of Ocean View, Delaware, Charlene (Thomas Dayball) of Seaford, Delaware and Donna (David Sattelberg), also of Seaford, Delaware. He was grandfather to Gretchen and Thomas Daehn. He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Simonick and sisters-in-law, Ruth Simonick, Rosemarie Simonick and Bonnie Simonick, all of the Buffalo area, and many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Simonick and his brothers, Richard, John, Francis, and James Simonick, and his infant son, Thomas Simonick.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Buffalo, New York to celebrate his life, and enjoy memories of his time on this earth.
