George Trissler’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his passing, as his memory and legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. George passed away at home on April 24, 2022 at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to George—sand between his toes, snow under his feet, and the wind through his hair while biking. He loved dining out, fitness, cycling, traveling with his wife, and skiing with his son. Even when it was time to retire, George could not do so, as he continued to support the decades he spent with Gosiger Inc.
Born in Germany, George immigrated as a child to the U.S. with his family to begin a new life, but he always remained fond of his birthland, and traveled there frequently.
George is predeceased by his parents, Irma and Otto. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy, his son Theodore, sister Angela (Ray) Shankweiler, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
George was a bright spark in this world and will be honored this summer with a celebration of his life.
