GRANVILLE R WOODLAND

Granville R. (Woody) Woodland, 88, passed away on April 20, 2020 in Seaford, DE. He was the husband of Joan Woodland.

Born in Cambridge, MD, he was the son of Granville L. Woodland and Elsie Gray Woodland. He joined the Navy in 1954 and was stationed on an aircraft carrier until 1958. He worked for E.I. DuPont in Seaford, DE for 35 years prior to retiring as Safety Manager in 1985.

Granville was a member of Elliott United Methodist Church, Elliott Island, MD. He enjoyed listening to music, walking his dogs and being on the water.

Granville is survived by his wife, Joan, sons Granville Ritchie Woodland, Jr. (Karen) and James K. Woodland (Denise), step-son Robert Darby, step-daughter Renee Thompson (Steve), 8 grandchildren/step-grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren/step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Elliott United Methodist Church in Elliott Island, MD.
