Frank E. Williamson, age 95, of Seaford, DE passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
Frank was born on December 29, 1922 in Roanoke, VA. He was involved in all kinds of sports at William Byrd High School in Vinton, VA. He met his wife, Hilda and they quickly became high school sweethearts. They were married on June 12, 1943 in South Carolina while he attended basic training for the U S Army. In 1945 he began his service in the Yankee Division, under the direction of General George Patton in Europe. Upon his discharge he attended Roanoke College in Salem, VA. He was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, loved watching all kinds of sports and enjoyed playing tennis after moving to Seaford, DE in 1969. He retired from Union 76 in 1985.
He enjoyed his family, his love of Christ and singing in the choir at Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford.
Frank is survived by his wife of 75 years, Hilda, 3 children, David Williamson (Betsy), Karen (Joe), and Joyce (J. L.), 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Barbara Jean Boley.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, May 7th at Noon at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 315 High St, Seaford, where friends may call from 11 to 12. Burial will be private.
