Floyd T. Morton 2nd passed away in his sleep to be with his Lord and Savior on October 3rd, 2022. Floyd was born in Easton, Maryland on May 3rd, 1942, the son of Floyd T. Morton Sr. & Mae Morton. He is survived by his children Jhan Krmenec of Binghamton New York, Floyd T. Morton III of Georgetown Delaware & Eric C. Morton of Reisterstown, Maryland; 5 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren & his dear companion Vivian Shockley & her son Joshua Mears.
Floyd was very active in his community no matter where he lived. He was an instrumental part of building the Church of God in Owings Mills Maryland where his father was a pastor. He moved to Delaware and became active in the Big Brother program mentoring many young men into adulthood. Floyd also was an active member of American Legion Post #8, Georgetown Ambulance Station 93 in Georgetown Delaware, serving his community for decades. Floyd later became an ordained minister and worked as a volunteer Chaplain at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, where he touched many people's lives and help lead many to the Lord.
Floyd was very loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, October 6th at Noon at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 11 to 12. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, MD.
