Erving Jefferson Obituary

Erving C. “Jeff” Jefferson, cherished soul mate of Rhonda L. Paulson, continued his Journey off this earth on Wednesday November 24th, 2021 at the young age of 64, surrounded by all the love and support he could ever need. He was born August 1st, 1957 the eldest of 2 boys, to the late Erving C Jefferson and Susan Hearn. Preceded in death by his younger brother H. Frank Jefferson.

Coming from a large local family, after Jeff graduated from Bridgeville high school he went on to find his place in this world, 1st proudly serving his country as a US Marine and then becoming a Millwright. Eventually he would become known as “Bodine” among several other names… an overall warm, charismatic, gentle and loving man who thrived in his favorite social settings and left an imprint on everyone he met. As a valued life partner to a strong woman with a ready-made family, he had big shoes to fill and walked in them well. He loved his dogs and western movies but never liked to watch anything violent. Enjoyed music and crowds and short stays at his favorite beach with his favorite woman.

An accomplished father figure and a lovingly embraced Poppop to 8 grandchildren and his 1st great grandson, he was always exactly what his family needed him to be.

He is survived in life by his beloved soul mate Rhonda L. Paulson with Aja, Ricky Bobby & Baby. The three girls, Lindsey Hill (Jaden, Kassidy, Advonte) Shannon Paulson (Raven, Trevon, Devan) Megan Paulson and Eric Lockwood (Roman, Junior). He is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family members and close friends.

His viewing will be held in Bridgeville on December 8th, 2021 at 1pm in Union Methodist Church (2 N laws street, Bridgeville DE 19933) with services starting at 2pm followed by the procession to one of his final resting places in blades cemetery. He will be having a memorial in Seaford at Cinnamons/CC22s afterwards for family friends and loved ones to come together for his final, epic good bye.
