Erma Doris Dunn

Seaford- Erma (Doris) Dunn, 89, died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. 

Doris was born March 14, 1932 in Silver Point, Tennessee, to the late Edward and Rettie Medley.

Doris worked at DuPont for a few years before she decided to stay home and take care of her family.  She loved playing cards, cooking, baking, and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. 

Doris is survived by her 3 children Allen Dunn (Nita); Sue Kaye (Eddie); and Stephen Dunn; her sister Gail Absher; her 5 grandchildren Jennifer Coulbourn (Jason); Tracie Hare; Andrea Carels (Brandon); Alison Shockley (Ryan); Stephen Dunn Jr. (McKenna); her 14 great grandchildren Lauren Myers; Wyatt Myers; Reagan Myers; Madison Myers; Trevor Hare; Taylor Hare; Tori Hare; Jaidyn Culver; Kreidyn Culver; Westyn Culver; Brittney Gilbert; Owen Shockley; Emmie Shockley; Delilah Dunn;  Her 3 great great grandchildren Aliza Hare; Santana Holmes; Aurora Hare; and several nieces and nephews.      

She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Dunn; brothers David Medley (two younger brothers); sisters Wilma Hastings, Brenda Franklin and Oline Huffman.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 1st at 1 p.m. at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 North Shipley Street, Seaford, Del., 19973. Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, who she donated to for a good portion of her life.
