Elbert Turner III Obituary

Elbert F. Turner, III, Age 63, of Seaford Delaware, passed away on December 27, 2023 after a long illness.

Elbert ( Bert ) was born on May 29, 1960 to Elbert and Tomiko Turner in Seaford, Delaware. 

After graduation, Bert landed his first job in commercial construction in Washington, DC. He went on to remain in that field which took him all over the Eastern United States.

Bert is survived by his loving partner, Maria McCarthy and his canine companion, Lily.

Bert was well known for his incredible fishing skills, be it fresh water, salt water, ocean fishing and his real love, fly fishing. He loved fishing the Battenkill in Vermont, Salmon River in Pulaski, New York and The Chesapeake region.

His other hobby was music. Either playing guitar, building guitars or attending concerts, Bert loved his music. He and his brother Jim were very gifted in that respect.

Bert was predeceased by his parents Elbert and Tomiko Turner and his older brother, Jim. Bert is survived by his daughters Nicole Elsharkawy (Matt Shekey), Roxanne Rife, his sister Wanda McCracken ( Skip ) and nephews James McCracken (Brittany), Ryan McCracken, Kyle McCracken (Angie),  Eric Turner (Naomi), an uncle Loran Turner and several great nieces and nephews.
