Emmitt E. Lineweaver of Seaford passed away on Thursday August 26, 2021 after a short stay at Greenwood Country Rest Home.
He was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on December 15, 1933, one of fourteen children to Joseph and Blanche Lineweaver. Upon moving to Seaford Delaware to pursue a career with the Dupont Co., Emmitt met and married his beloved wife Alice "Jeanette" Lineweaver in December of 1954. In 1985, he retired from Dupont after 35 years of service; where he worked as a machine operator and was an active counsel representative. After retirement he continued his love for hands on work as a carpenter. As one would say "He was a jack of all trades but a master of none!".
He loved the Lord immensily. He was a founding and continually active member of Christ Lutheran Church. There you could find him serving from ministry, to grass cutting , or rolling out dumplings for the many church dinners they had.
Emmitt's version of a perfect day was out on the choptank river catching crabs and enjoying them with his family and friends on the back porch by the pool. He was an avid outdoorsman fishing and hunting with his son's and grandson's. He could sit and tell you hunting stories for hours, about all his many trophies and hunting trips he went on.
He enjoyed nascar and faithfully rooted for the Ravens. We want to especially thank Tina Passwaters for being such an excellant caretaker. Along side his daughter, Teresa, who was also his care taker while he was able to be home.
In addition to his parents, Joseph and Blanche Lineweaver, he was preceded in death by nine of his thirtheen siblings, his youngest son Douglas "Doug" Lineweaver, and his beloved wife Alice "Jeanette" Lineweaver.
He is survived by his oldest son Dennis Lineweaver of Millsboro, his daughter Teresa Lineweaver Lord of Seaford. Grand childern Kendra Bartocci (Chris), Jared Lineweaver (Dawn), Jenna Cropper, Coty Lineweaver (Danielle). Great-grandchildern, Kannon Cropper, Riley, Griffin, and Hunter Lineweaver, Gianni and Lucca Bartocci, and Ezekiel Lineweaver. A brother Alger Lineweaver. Three sisters Helen Hughes, Hilda Specht and Edna Rich. Sister in Law Del Callaway. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
