EDWARD JOSEPH HASTINGS III

Edward Joseph Hastings III, age 66, of Laurel, DE passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019.

          Edward was the son of Mildred Hastings and the late Edward Hastings Jr.  He is survived by his son, Shawn F. Hastings (Mary K.) along with 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Hastings, Alan Hastings, Thomas Hastings, and sisters, Ginger Rickards, Brenda Norwood and Barbara Hastings-Winkler.  His brother Roy Hastings passed away in 1994.

          Mr. Hastings worked various jobs through our Sussex County as a painter.  He served honorably in the Army National Guard.  He moved in with his mother after his father’s passing and helped provide care for her for the last 25 years. 

          His hobbies included fishing, hunting and car racing.  He was an avid Jeff Gordon fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys.

          Memorial Services will be on Monday, November 25th at 2 PM at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 1 to 2.
