Daniel L Wheatley

Daniel Wheatley, “Dan,” of Seaford, passed away after a sudden illness on December 2, 2021 at Milford Hospice Center. He was born June 23, 1941, in Laurel, Delaware; son of the late Ralph and Evelyn Wheatley.

        As a young man, Dan joined the Navy and took great pride in serving our country. He then went to work for - and retired from - the Seaford DuPont plant where he was a machine operator and supervisor, and served as council President.

        Always the avid outdoorsman, Dan loved to hunt and fish. Later in life, he spent much of his free time on his boat with family and friends enjoying being out on the water and trotline crabbing.

He will be greatly missed!

        In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his brothers, Greg and Barry, and his sister, Iris; his first wife and mother of his children, Comfort; and his second wife of 25 years, Marsha.

        He is survived by his loving family; brothers, Ronny and Wayne; daughter, Rena Warrington (Marshall), son, Danny Wheatley II (Mindy); grandchildren and great grandchildren, Danny Wheatley III (Katie, and Danny IV), Stephanie Wheatley, Miranda Lee (Josh, and Owen), Morgan Hernandez (Peter), and Rebekah Warrington.

        In line with his final wishes, the family will not be holding a service at this time.
