Clara "Ginny" Virginia Breasure

Clara “Ginny” Virginia Breasure, age 84, passed away at The Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE on Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1941, in Seaford, DE, to Wilson and Hilda Breasure.  Ginny graduated from Seaford High School in 1959. While attending school she participated in JV and Varsity Hockey and Basketball.

Following High School, she attended Tusculum College and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Ginny returned to Seaford and taught Physical Education. She also received a master’s degree at Glassboro State, NJ in 1991 and a Doctorate at Wilmington College in 1996. She retired from teaching and sports coaching in 1998 with 33 years.

Ginny moved to Surfside, SC where she resided until February of 2025. She enjoyed shell hunting, farmers markets, and her fellow condo friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wlson and Hilda Breasure.

Ginny is survived by a sister, Kathryn Botdorf (John), two nephews, Daniel (Kim) and Jeffery (Tina), a niece, Lisa (Pat), as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a public visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 Shipley Street, Seaford, DE.
