CAROLYN "TINA" WHALEY

   On Saturday February 11, 2023, Carolyn Whaley (Tina), loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother passed away surrounded by loved ones at the age of 63. Tina was born on September 2, 1959 in Seaford, De to Donald and Jane Joseph. On May 9, 1998 she married her husband, William Whaley (Bill). She worked for Concord Pet Food and Supplies in Seaford, De for the last 13 years, doing what she absolutely loved, which was talking to her customers and meeting all of the fur babies.

    Tina had a passion for being crafty, spending time with her daughter and granddaughter, talking with her customers and sitting at home watching old TV shows with her husband. Also, anytime she could, she would slip away to North Carolina to spend time with family. Tina had an infectious smile and a huge heart. Anyone that had the opportunity to know her absolutely loved her! She never met a stranger.

    Tina was preceded in death by her father, Donald Joseph and beloved son, Jay Alvey. She is survived by her husband, William Whaley (Bill), daughter Carol Alvey Boyce (Ryan), mother Jane Joseph, sisters Janie Waybright (Roy), Alice Wheatley (Kevin), Joy North, brothers Donald Joseph (Sharon), Roland Joseph (Andrea), granddaughters Jadyn Boyce and Lexi Alvey, grandson Jarrett Alvey (3-Jay), nieces, nephews and many other friends and family.

    There will be a memorial service held at the Greenwood Fire Hall on March 4th, 2023 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation towards final expenses be made to Cranston Funeral Home 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, De 19973.
