Betty Messick Turner, of Seaford, passed away on April 26, 2025, at Tidal Health in Seaford, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 10, 1933, the daughter of the late Creston and Elsie (LeCates) Messick.
Betty retired from Fowler & Williams/Insurance Market at 44 years.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Hudson and Bonnie Cook, stepson, Hamilton Meade "Sonny" Turner Jr. (June), sister, Brenda Workman, brother, Everett (Bonnie) Messick, sister-in-law, Jeannie Messick, six grandchildren, Kenny (Stacy) Hudson, Brent (Paula) Hudson, Michael (Jessica) Hudson, Amy (Jonathan) Womack, Ray (Jackie) Cook, and John William Turner, ten great grandchildren, Jessica Hudson, Evan Hope, Cory Hudson, Taylor Hudson, Josh Hudson, Ava Womack, Tinley Womack, Lexi Womack, Colton Womack, and Natalie Cook, one great-great grandchild, Kylee Wood, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton "Bill" Turner, stepson, William George "Billy" Turner, brother, Marvin Messick, son-in-law, Donald "Pash" Hudson, and brother-in-law, Charles Thomas "Butch" Workman.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with a public viewing from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley Street, Seaford, DE. Interment will take place at Asbury Cemetery following the funeral services.
