Austin Ayers Obituary

Austin M Ayers, age 43, of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024, at Genesis in Seaford after a short stay due to multiple health issues. Austin was born on March 19, 1981, in Easton, Maryland.

Austin attended Salisbury School, Seaford School District and graduated SHS in 2000. Austin earned awards in tennis and soccer throughout his years at Seaford High School. Austin graduated with a degree from Millwright school in PA 2012. Austin worked for various Union Millwright Jobs from PA to Delaware. Also, previously worked for his grandparents’ company Sussex Printing/The Guide, Seaford, DE

Austin enjoyed hunting, fishing, soccer, tennis, outdoors, baseball and welding. He was extremely great at all his interests. Two of his proudest achievements were his daughter Tatum and son Aully. He always loved his family dearly and friends throughout his life. Austin treasured traditions with family and friends (Whaley’s, Satchell’s, Quattlebaum’s, Baltz’s, Griffin’s, Keen’s, Waller’s (and more) such as cookouts, holidays, snow ski trips, beach and time at the Country Club Pool, golf, and tennis courts.

During his last year of life, Austin was wheelchair bound so he loved watching movies, various shows, technology, YouTube, and puzzles. He spent hours going through pictures and yearbooks reminiscing. Asking questions about what and where classmates and friends are up to now.

Austin is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Connie Ayers (Seaford, DE), his sister, Margo Ayers (Berlin, MD), his daughter, Tatum Ayers (Laurel, DE), his son Aully Ayers (Laurel, DE), and their mother, x-wife, Holly Lyons (formerly from Seaford). 

He is also survived by his grandmother, Star Goslee Ayers (Seaford, DE), Aunts and Uncles, Frank Jones (FL/WV), Tim Ayers, Linda Griffin Jones Larrimore (Woody), and Diane Lord Smith, Nieces and Nephews, Taylor Takacs, Lewis Takacs, and Arden Takacs (Berlin Maryland) Madison and McKenzie Hare (Bridgeville), KC Widdowson, Cole Widdowson, Bailey Ensor (Seaford), Brother In-Law, Chris Takacs (Berlin, MD), Sister-in-laws, Megan Hare (Bridgeville) and Brandy Widdowson, Mother-In Law, Christine Waller all of Seaford. Austin is also survived by many cousins, Melissa Keim Harris (Chris) (NC) and Brandon Keim (Seaford, DE, and Heidi Penuel (Milton, DE) (Chris), Tim Jones (Jamie) Ocean City, MD. Tiffney Belcher (Dyke), Amy Ayers Higgins (Ed), An Ayers Vane (Chris) all from Seaford, Andrea Jones Sheckels (MD), his special loved support family, Rich and Patty Kapolka, Fenwick, DE, and last but not least, Vader, Austin loved his beloved dog. Austin loved all his previous cats and dogs telling special stories about all of them.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth “Connie” Jones, grandfathers, Lucian T Jones, S. Layton Ayers, and uncles, all from Seaford -Bill Jones, Sidney Ayers, Gray Jones, aunts, Teri Jones Keim (Seaford) Nikki Jones (FL\WV), Father In-Law, Doug Waller.
