Anthony Quinn Thomas was born June 03, 1974, to the late Milton and Martha P. Thomas in New Castle County- Wilmington, Delaware. He departed this life on November 3, 2023, in his home.
At an early age Anthony, better known as “Tony” was seen not just as a child of two loving parents, but rather was the manifestation of a promise. A promise to older brother Milton Thomas Jr. Tony was odd in his own way in that he saw beauty where most would only see ugliness, peace where most saw chaos and joy where most would have been sad. Tony quite frankly, was the light which first shows in the early morning brining with it feelings of a better day ahead. Tony rejected the idea of a persons worth was tied to their socio-economic standing. He believed that everyone was deserving of grace and mercy. Tony was a fun-loving child who followed his older brother around and the two rarely separated. At least until, Tony broke tradition and joined the US Army instead of the US Marine Corps. He served his country proudly which in turn built upon his already strong fondation as a man and made it possible for him to be a husband, father, and friend. Even in his final days he continued to be a shining example of those qualities which make up a man; faith, perseverance, dedication, dependability and love. Tony was not just some man who worked hard for himself, rather his selfless example is the reason for many others success. All you need to do is look at the company Tony kept and you will see that his impact was genuine and lasting. He will be greatly missed...
He leaves to cherish his memories, 2 sons, Justin Anthony Thomas and Jonathan Quinn Thomas. Additionally, he has one brother, Milton Thomas Jr. and three sisters Tonya, Gwen and Kim. He was blessed enough to have one grandchild; Santana Crislee Thomas and a host of other loving relatives and friends. There were many people whom Tony looked at as being his family, too many to name, but please know that he talked of you all often and you each held a special place in her heart.
He Ain’t Heavy.....
... The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where, who knows where But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
... So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
... For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
... If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another
... It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share?
... And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
... He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
