Anna Mae German, 92, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away peacefully at the Lofland Park Center in Seaford on Saturday, March 1st, 2025. Born August 20th, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Charles Rementer and Clara Joseph Rementer.
Anna Mae was married to her late husband, Harold German Sr., for thirty-eight years and never remarried. Anna Mae lived on the same road her entire life until moving to a long-term care facility in July 2024. She worked at the Curiosity Shop for many years after raising her three children. Her home was a special haven for her grandchildren. She was known for her classic homestyle cooking and baking, which was her own special love language. Anna Mae was a member of the Christian Church of Seaford, where she faithfully attended and provided an abundance of food for church functions.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son H.G. German, son-in-law Milton James, daughter-in-law Sherry German, granddaughter Windy German, her siblings Calvin Rementer, Helen German, Alice Williams, and Linden Rementer. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Lu Ann James and Holly Barie (Gary), daughter-in-law Connie Yoder German, grandchildren Hank German (Hollie), Gary Moore Jr. (Jessica), Wyatt German (Amanda), Jeremy Moore (Melania), Kristen Moore (Frank), Tabatha German, Stephani German, and Alex Barie, step-grandchildren Todd James, Sarah Bradley (Ken), Matthew Erixson, Rachel Erixson, and Luke Erixson, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Anna Mae’s viewing will be held at 12pm on Friday, March 7th, with a service following at 1pm at Cranston’s Funeral Home in Seaford, Delaware. Interment to follow at Asbury United Methodist Cemetery.
