LYNN CAROL McCREA

Lynn Carol (Dudley) McCrea, born 8/19/1953, of Seaford, DE, passed away on Thursday 03, 2018. Though Lynn’s passing was unexpected, she was  surrounded by love ones and dear friends, supporting her with great tenderness and care, as she transitioned, in the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Lynn was born in Washington, D.C. to William Patterson Dudley and Mary Elizabeth (O’Baker) Dudley on August 19, 1953.  She married the love of her life Michael Willis McCrea Sr. on March 9, 1969 in Washington, D.C. My mom always said, she loved my dad the moment she saw him and loved being his wife. Lynn was a devoted military spouse and mother. She loved children, not only raising her own but countless other youth, that came into her life, in need of kindness, guidance and support. She never saw people as strangers, always ready with a smile or hug. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, always having her phone at the ready to share with everyone.

Lynn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jimmy Teter. 

Lynn is survived by her husband Michael W. McCrea Sr., sister Darlene (JC) Drinnon, brother William (Jo) Teter, aunt Theresa (John) Sindy, son Michael W McCrea Jr, daughter Debra Lynn McCrea-Morris, granddaughter Michaela Morris, grandson Paige “Bear” Morris, sister in-laws Scheryl (Craig) McDavid and Susan (Tim) Millman, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved dearly, great friend Brenda (Roger) Frantz and godson Phillip (Amanda) Adams.

If you knew Lynn, you always had a friend and probably a daily text, which is what we’re all missing right now. She will be greatly missed by our family and the many people she touched, loved, held and cherished.
