John H. Purse Jr, age 82, of Seaford, DE passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017.

          John was a Personnel Manager for Penco Corp. in Seaford for 34 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Laurel, the Delaware Safety Association, the Seaford Lions Club, he did therapy dogs for nursing homes.  He had many friends and a great sense of humor.

          John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley, 2 daughters, Lynne Streeper (John), Terri Rice (Armore), a sister, Barbara Moore, grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Jones, Devon Rice Budd (Jay), Matthew Rice, Sarah Rice Hudson (Ben), great-grandchildren, Amaya, Gabrial, Alayka and Ryder, and his beloved dog, Sonny.

          Memorial Services will be on Saturday, September 16th at 2 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 32827 Old Stage Rd, Laurel, DE
