James Ford Richardson, age 67, of Seaford, DE passed away on May 1, 2017.

          He was born in Danielson, Connecticut on July 4, 1949.  Jim was the son of the late James and Mary M. Richardson.  He was a 1968 graduate of Seaford Senior High School.  He was a graduate of Barrington College, in Barrington, RI receiving a BA in Chemistry and an MBA in Business Administration from Wilmington College in Wilmington, DE.  He was from a military family having lived in Japan and France.

          Jim worked as an Environmental Engineer for Townsends, Inc. and as a liaison with State DNRC, EPA and environmental groups responsible for the RCRA hazardous waste program. 

          He was an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, a licensed amateur radio operator, lifetime member of the Blades Volunteer Fire Company having served as President, Treasurer, Fire Police and Ambulance Attendant.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Mayflower Society.

          A Graveside Services will be held at Blades Cemetery on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2 PM. 

          In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Blades Volunteer Fire Company, 200 E. 5th St, Blades, DE 19973 or Boy Scouts of America, 1325 West Walnut Hill Lane, Irving, TX 75015.
