Darl R Culver

Darl R. Culver of Seaford passed away at home on Sunday evening December 30, 2018.

She was born in Buffalo, NY on June 16, 1942, daughter of the late Rod and Jean (Love) Rohas.

Darl was a proud graduate of the University of Delaware, earning a B.S. degree in Education.  She was a substitute teacher in Seaford Middle School for fifteen years.  She loved working with students in this age group and was very active in the HOSTS Mentoring program.

She had been a member of the Seaford Spade and Trowel Garden Club, Western Sussex Branch of AAUW, serving as publicity chairman for several years, and a member of the former Seaford Golf and Country Club.  She also was a Lifetime Member of the Seaford Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ben, and a daughter Kim, and two grandchildren, Emily Robinson and Caleb Robinson and his wife Whitney.  She is also survived by a brother Rick Rohas of Richmond, VA and his wife Mary, and a sister Cath of El Segundo, CA and her husband John, and several nieces.

Darl was a beach lover and enjoyed many trips to Disney World and Sea World with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be January 10, 2019 at 1:00PM at Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N Shipley St., Seaford, DE, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.  Graveside services will be private.
