David Henry Sisson, Sr, age 81, of Seaford, DE passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, David was Ordained as a Minister following his graduation from Eastern Baptist Seminar. In 1958, David was called to serve in Western Pennsylvania where he first met his wife, Pamela. He left the ministry in 1970 to work for Safeway Foods where he ultimately served as Regional Manager of East Coast Construction Division. Realizing his goal of having his own company he founded his own Commercial & Real Estate Management Company, DHSco. He bought and renovated Fishing Creek Landings Marina in Chesapeake Beach Maryland, creating a renewed townscape. Dave and Pam lived most of their marriage in Chesapeake Beach. He retired in 2005 to Williamsburg, Virginia where they had many happy years and were actively involved with Colonial Williamsburg. They moved to Seaford, Delaware to be closer to children & grandchildren. Following a long illness he passed quietly in his sleep surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Pamela, son, David H. Sisson, Jr, daughters Dale Quist & Deborah Rounds, 3 Step sons- Joshua, Timothy & Gregory Kiffer, 5 adult grandchildren-Christopher, John and Thomas Sisson, Hamonie Snow, & Yvette Boles, and 3 grandchildren-Ella Kiffer, Aidan Kiffer & Bennett Kiffer. David was known for his love of and pride in his family, his fondness for boating and gardening and loyalty to and love of friends. All of whom have been richly blessed by being part of his life.
Memorial Services will be on Saturday, August 25th at 11 AM at Seaford Presbeterian Church, 701 Bridgeville Hwy, Seaford, DE.
