BYRON WILLEY Obituary

Byron Baker Willey, 78 years of age passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at home. He was born in Delmar, De on February 9. 1940 to the late Joseph Kinder and Mildred Hastings Willey. He was an Air Force Veteran and retired from the DuPont Plant in 1998. Byron was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Elmon Taylor, Constance Ann Howard, Doris Mae Lane and four brothers; Joseph Albert Willey, Leon Ray Willey, Thomas David Willey and Nelson Kinder Willey. He is survived by a brother, John H. Willey of Seaford and a sister, Marie Travis of Delmar as well as nieces and nephews. Byron loved supporting his nieces and nephews by attending their baseball, softball and football games often being heard cheering them on from the sidelines. He loved Delmar High School sports and will be missed by all that knew him there. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro with military honors in a private ceremony attended by his family.
