ADA B BLAZIER

Ada B. Blazier, age 99, of Seaford, DE passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020.

          Ada was born on January 10, 1921, the daughter of the late Grace and Charles Bowers in Cherry Run, West Virginia. She graduated from Berkeley Springs High School, and Strayer Business College in Baltimore, MD.  She worked at the Department of the Interior in Washington, DC until her marriage to Edwin H. Blazier on March 3, 1945.  They lived in New Jersey for many years and traveled to many states and Canada.  They retired in Delaware in 1989.  She resided at the Acts Manor House at the time of her death. 

          Ada laved to travel and was an avid water skier which she did up to age 90.  Her energy amazed her family and friends.

          Her husband Edwin died in 2014.  She is survived by a brother, Jackie M. Bowers, a sister, Janet Sue Mehan and her brother in law, J. Kenneth Mehan.

          Memorial services will be on Wednesday, January 22nd at 2 PM at Act’s Manor House, 1001 Middleford Rd, Seaford. 

          In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine St, Seaford, DE 19973.
