Wallace Arland Griffith, age 88 of Seaford, DE passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 after an extended illness surrounded by his loving family.

          He was born on Nov. 11, 1926, son of Lewis Wallace Griffith and Hilda Williams Griffith and was a lifelong resident of Seaford. 

          “Wally” as he was known by many served honorably in the U. S. Navy and retired from E. I. DuPont in Seaford after 43 years of service. He was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church in Parsonsburg, MD for 35 years.

          He is survived by his wife Stella P. Griffith, sisters, June Drummond of Seaford and Patsy King of Panama City, Florida, sons, David Harpool (Debi) of Delmar, MD, Pat Harpool of Ford City, PA and Rick Harpool (Cindy) of Hilliard, Florida, sisters-in-law, Maxine Patterson of Havre de Grace, MD and Gayle Gillespie of Snow Hill, MD, a special cousin, Ruth Wainwright of Seaford, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

          Wally was also preceded in death by a son Robert Harpool and daughter-in-law, Donna Harpool Bratten.

          Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 12th at 11 AM at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, Rev. Jim Doran will officiate.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM.  Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

          In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Jerusalem United Methodist Church, 7131 Forest Grove Rd, P O Box 114, Parsonsburg, MD 21849.
