Roberta Davis Stephenson, born August 31, 1938 in Wilmington, DE, passed away on September 25, 2016 in Richmond, Virginia.   She grew up in Bellefonte, Delaware and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1956.  She was a member of the Senior Choir, Band and Cadets, National Honor Society, played varsity basketball, and was a member of Future Teachers of America, and the year book staff.  She graduated from the University of Delaware and taught at Edgemoor  Elementary  School, where she encouraged lots of children to enjoy learning.  After further training, Roberta became a medical secretary with Christiana Care Health System at the Wilmington Hospital.  She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Wilmington, Delaware.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Kenneth Stephenson and Marie Davis Stephenson, and her brother, Ralph Kerr Stephenson.  She is survived by her sister, Mary Gaunt , (Sibbley  Gauntt), and her sister–in –law Linda Stephenson. She enjoyed hearing about what her many nieces and nephews were doing and was very proud of each one.  It was amazing how much she remembered about them.  She enjoyed music, and had many fond memories of the beach at Lewes, Delaware.

A graveside service will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna, Delaware on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM.
